Have you ever considered the possibility of women being employed in the factory? Have you ever wondered how the staff spent their off-shift time? Would you like to find out if the factory physician sported a moustache and what the dynamic between the workers and the manager was? Through the use of oral accounts from the employees and rare archival audiovisual resources, children can gain insight into the stories – both familiar and obscure – of those who toiled at the Athens Gas Factory. By engaging in a distinctive exploration and improvisation game, youngsters can uncover the significance of gas, the factory’s daily routine, and the staff’s working conditions.
