How did the old gas plant and Technopolis
contribute to the development of the surrounding area? Maria Florou, Head of
the Industrial Gas Museum, has chosen a photo dating back to the 80s, depicting
the gas plant in full operation. Through her narrative, as an archaeologist,
she emphasizes the importance of industrial monuments both in Greece and abroad
while presenting how much the reuse of the old Athens gas plant contributed to
shaping the wider area.
